THE HERO’S HOMECOMING
Owen Loughman is a highly-decorated Navy SEAL who has a thirst for action. But there’s one thing he hasn’t been able to forget – his high school sweetheart, Natalie. After over a decade away, Owen is returned home to the ranch in Texas for a dangerous new mission that puts him face-to-face with Natalie and an outside menace that threatens everything he holds dear. He’ll risk it all to keep Natalie safe – and win her heart. . . .
Natalie Dixon has had a lifetime of heartache since Owen was deployed. Fourteen years and one bad marriage later, she finds herself mixed up with the Loughman’s again. With her life on the line against an enemy she can’t fight alone, it’s Owen’s strong shoulders, smoldering eyes, and sensuous smile that she turns to. When danger closes in, she holds close to the only man she’s ever loved…
Jen's Review (Donna Grant "Newbie" Reader!)
My heart started racing about three and did not stop until the end. This did end on a cliffhanger, so my heart is still racing in fear and suspense. What I loved about Ms Grant's writting is it is not just a romance and not just a suspense novel. Her ability to weave the two together and so seamlessly was breathtaking. I could feel the adrenaline and the true anguish these characters felt.
This was the first book written by Donna Grant that I have ever read. I will for sure be reading more from her! I WANT the next book in this series right now! I need to know how this story works it way out. 5 STARS!!
Donya's Review (Donna Grant "Long-time" Reader!)
Natalie and Owen were in love, but after graduation, Owen left, joined the military, and never said goodbye. Years later, Natalie, who is now a Russian translater for the American Embassy, meets with Owen's father. After the meeting, Natalie's world crashes back into Owen's, who now must find his father, protect Natalie from assassins, and safeguard a bioweapon from getting into the wrong hands.
The Hero kept me on the edge of my seat, and in true Donna Grant fashion, had me swooning at the love that still bloomed in Natalie and Owen. One of the best things that Donna does, is introduce other characters and storylines that draw you into her world. There is a cliff hanger as the story arcs into the lives of Owen's family.
If you have never read Donna Grant before, this series is a great way to start. Bring on book 2 - The Protector! I'm so ready! 5 STARS!!
