Known for his strict classes and belief in discipline, Marc has a reputation for being arrogant and aloof, yet Sophia soon finds herself drawn to this cold, fascinating young man.
Soon, Sophia is embarking on a journey of sexual discovery that promises to explore all that is forbidden between teacher and student.
Marc is a big time Hollywood actor. He is famous and has tons of money. He has even opened up his own acting college where students are handpicked so he can help them hone their skills. There have been a lot or rumors about him floating around in the tabloids, like his sister is a drug addict/dealer and he likes kinky sex, but no one really knows the real Marc Blackwell. Marc is reserved, almost secretive in his lifestyle and likes his privacy.
Sophia is just like any normal girl. Her mother died when she was younger so it was just her and her dad until he got remarried and they had a child together. She doesn’t really like her stepmom and is mainly used for a babysitter and a maid until she is chosen to go to the prestigious Ivy College to better herself as an actress. She’s had a few boyfriends in the past and isn’t sexually naïve but hasn’t done anything abnormal.
When Sophia meets Marc there is instant chemistry. There is something about Marc that draws Sophia to him even though he’s her teacher and she shouldn’t start that type of relationship. Marc feels it too. In the beginning they fight what they are feeling but Sophia is quite pushy and wants to be with him regardless of how it might look to others. I felt like there could have been more of a fight to stay away from each other considering what being together could do not only to Sophia’s future but also Marc’s reputation as a professor and an actor. The story felt sort of rushed, like the scenes could have been more thought out and not so forced. They went from being teacher/student to her doing every little thing he told her to do. It was kind of like a dom/sub relationship but different. He likes to be in control, I get that, but it didn’t really feel like the author knew a whole lot about that world. I am by no means saying that I know about that world either but other books I have read seem to have more detail not just take off your clothes and play with this… You can tell that they really like each other, but I felt like them knowing each other for a month or so wouldn’t mean they would start saying I love you. Overall I liked this book. It was entertaining aside from the few rushed scenes, some errors, and the fact that I felt like the ending sort of just stopped. It was all very abrupt.
Overall I would give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
