Cam is the hero type, but with a secret sex life. He enjoys dom/sub relationships and keeps that side of himself tucked away from her business side. He doesn't pretend to be someone of something that he isn't and he takes himself very seriously. Isabelle on the other hand seems to mold herself into what she thinks others want her to be. She's dating her adoptive brother who takes advantage of her and her money time and again and is honestly kind of an ass. Cam and Isabelle have met before through Mr. Ashcroft who was Cam's late boss and was also Isabelle's adoptive father. There was also attraction between the two but neither one acted on it until now. Cam saves Isabelle from her brother Brent at a sex club and their lives intertwine from there. Isabelle sees Cam for who and what he is and she doesn't have to fake who she is with Cam, but for some reason Cam doesn't want to let himself take Isabelle on this sexual journey with him. This book frustrated me. there were so many almosts with Cam and Isabelle. Every time she would put herself out there and they would kiss or touch Cam would pull away and leave. It was very frustrating for Isabelle and the reader too! Also this book was very short. I understand the author wanting to break the book into a series but it was like 77 pages short. Not even enough to be a decent book. The ending of course leaves the reader hanging which I'm sure is what the author was going for, but i was left disappointed. There was no submission that took place in this book at all. This books leaves the reader wanting more for sure!
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
You've fantasized about it. Maybe you've even tried. Asked for his hands to grip you a little tighter. If he could tie you up. Hold you down. But he always stops too soon.
He doesn't mean it when he makes you beg for him, doesn't push you to the limits of your pleasure and demand everything you have to give--and more.
You wonder, what would it be like with a man who truly commanded you? How sweet would the release be, giving yourself up completely?
