Everyone knows Brooke Wicks loves to have a good time. She’s not interested in getting serious, settling down, or limiting herself to one man. So when she meets the sexy, irresistible Mason King, she sees another opportunity to let loose and go wild. But the gorgeous Aussie isn’t interested in just a quick fling with Brooke, and if she wants to get into his bed, she’s going to have to do it on his terms.
Loving fast and hard has always been Mason’s philosophy. He doesn’t want a meaningless connection, he wants it all, and he wants it with Brooke. When she makes her one desire known—to hit it and quit it—Mason wages a plan to ensure Brooke keeps coming back for more. Or so he hopes.
Getting her attention was the easy part. Keeping it might be damn near impossible.
Sweet Obsession is where the Sweet Addiction series meets the Alabama Summer series.
Loved these characters in previous J. Daniels books.
Brooke made me laugh with her hit 'em and quit 'em attitude. She was not embarrassed by her lifestyle and she owned it. She never saw herself being with anyone other than for a good time and when she meets Mason King, she thinks he is just another notch on her bed post, but Mason has other plans. He has Brooke doing things she never thought she would do, like spending time with a guy before she sleeps with him. He makes her hot and bothered but he also confused her. She wants him, so she is willing to go along with his conditions, at least until she gets what she wants.
"Christ, I fear I've just met the Devil, figures she's a woman"- Mason
"I'm yours, my body, my soul. All of my time is yours"-Mason
I felt the emotions of both Mason and Brooke, I hurt when they hurt, I laughed at their banter and I loved when they loved. As is J. Daniels way I felt as if I was living in this book rather than reading it.
Not only are the main characters well written but the secondary characters, especially Joey, are vital to the storyline and make the story that much more complete. Seriously Joey and Billy are so freaking cute! We get to catch up with Reece and Dylan the anchor couple of the Sweet Addiction and we also get to see one of my favorite Bama boys pay a visit.
I live in Chicago and I wish Dylan's was a real place. I would sooo be there and be there often.
I highly recommended you read not only this book but all of J. Daniels books.
