Can Stitch let his guard down and allow these two strangers into his heart? Can Wren see beyond the scars of her past long enough to let him in, or will her fear drive him away?
Okay, here we go - Wren is a single mother with a young son, who has Aspergers. She is divorced from a very abusive man. One night, during visitation with his father, Wyatt, her son, runs away, going to a safe place that he and Wren have agreed to.
Stitch is the Satan’s Fury’s enforcer, and when he spots Wyatt, he instantly becomes his protector. And then he meets Wyatt’s mother, Wren. WHEW! Instant attraction!
I loved this book! It was a fantastic read and definitely what I needed. L.Wilder’s attention to Wyatt’s special condition was handled with care, and that impressed me. I didn’t realize it was book 2 of a series and usually reading out of order for me is a big “NO NO”, but L.Wilder’s writing was so exceptional that I had almost finished the entire book before I noticed. I didn’t miss a thing - and the upside - I had to read the first in the series and her series Devil’s Chasers, upon which the Satan Fury series was spawned from. L.Wilder has a new fan and I’m giving this book a 5-star rating.
