"I never let anyone get too close—but he’s the only man who’s ever made me feel alive."
Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules.
Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn't risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go.
Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.
Say My Name is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.
The story of Jackson Steele was started in the Stark series novella,
"Play My Game". Don't worry you can read this book with out reading the novella, it is all recapped perfectly. (For the record not sure why anyone would not want to read more Damien Stark but hey to each their own).
Jackson Steele is a superstar architect that is approached by Damien to design a resort. Jackson flat out refuses to work for Damien. So they find someone else. Sylvia, Damien's assistant, is tasked with the oversight of a resort in California. All is well until the architect they have chosen decides to pull up stakes and move to Tibet. Leaving Sylvia 2 days to secure another candidate, the one that Damien wanted all along, the one and only Jackson Steele. Said task would be a tough in and of itself however there is a twist (of course there is) Jackson and Sylvia have a past. She broke his heart and her own.
The MCs have many demons and secrets that take time to reveal and cause a lot of angst and pain. The sex is hot and steamy and it keeps you wanting more. The story keeps you on your toes and a big reveal is like WHAT!!!!
The potential for 5 stars was there however, there were too many similarities between Jackson and Damien and Sylvia and Nikki for my liking, though not enough to make me stop reading for sure.
There is an appearance by many of the players from the original Stark series that make this book tie in perfectly but it works as a standalone without you feeling like you've missed something.
This is a trilogy with the the next installment "On My Knees" releasing June 23, 2015.
4 out of 5 stars
