I’m not the kind of person people love. She's the only one who has ever found me worthy.
They've tried to keep me away but for me, it’s always been her and it always will be. I’m here and ready to go to battle to keep her. It doesn’t matter that her family hates me, she’s mine and I can’t let her go.
My past is a hurricane and I can only hope she's able to weather the storm.
Love Me ~ Through the Storm is the third installment of the Love Me series. This third book is all about Kane, the exiled best friend of Clay from Love Me~Without Regret.
Kane is a bad boy and knows no other way to live. He was abandon by his mother, doesn't know his father and has carried those scars with him through out his life, even if he doesn't know he does. His only friend seems to be the girl he is forbidden to have. She is the only good thing he has going in his life and he refuses to act on his feeling for fear he will lose her as well.
Of course there if no story to be told if they don't go there and let me tell you, when they finally do go there, these two navigate a very rough "storm" and even though they come out the other side, they come out as completely different people.
I love a good redemption story and Renee Kennedy was able to write a story that not only shows how damaged Kane is but shows that he is worthy of his redemption, even when no one is really interested in giving to him.
The story is told from both Kane and his lady loves point of view and you see the struggle and feel the pain that each of them must endure to be together.
I will say I DID NOT like Kane's love interest in the beginning, she made me mad but thankfully she redeems herself to me by the end and there are PLENTY of other women in this book to hate more than her!
We see the other couples from book one (Bailey and Cash) and book two (Lizzie and Clay) as well as the other supporting cast from those books. They play a key role in this series and thankfully Ms. Kennedy takes the time to make them feel important without making you think that you HAVE to read the other books (even though I HIGHLY recommend you do, they are that good).
I cannot wait for the next installment and I cannot wait to see what is in store for for this crew of friends and family.
