All I ever wanted was to be a female fighter.
It was in my blood to smack people around.
Some girls wore pink dresses and makeup, I wore sneakers and bruises.
I was a loner, stuck to myself because I was different, until Camden Steel moved next door.
I punched him in the mouth, and he saw me through rose colored glasses from that day on.
I had everything I ever wanted.
The boy next door, inspiring career… until I didn’t.
He hates me. I deserve that.
They say you have to fight for what you want… What they don’t tell you… is it’ll cost you more than you're willing to give to reach the top..
Tate was never the normal girl. She didn’t do the doll thing and dressing up was not for her. She was a fighter through and through. With no real girlfriends, she meets and becomes best friends with the boy next door. Camden has been in love with Tate since he was seven years old. She wasn’t fake and did things her own way. At the age of 18, following a family tragedy, Tate left Camden to try and be the person she thought her mother would want to her to be. After four years, she’s back. And she’s decided to be the person she is and she wants to be a professional fighter. Walking into the gym, she finds Camden, who hates her with all of his passion. But there is a fine line between love and hate.
Seriously, I loved this book! How could I not? Tate was the strongest female character in a world dominated by male MMA fighters. She never backed down. Camden was amazing, because instead of discouraging her, he accepted her as she was. As I said I usually don’t read the MMA fighter romance books but this one was fantastic! 5-blood pumping stars!
