The girl with an innocent heart knows all about bad choices, but has yet to make them for herself. Searching for freedom, she finds it in the delinquent down the hall.
The troublemaker with summer-sky blue eyes knows he should stay away, but can’t resist the blissful wonder who makes his house a home.
She’s a hopeless romantic. He’s just hopeless.
She’s his reason, but he might not catch her when she falls.
She loves him. He loves her crazy.
This is what happens when a love made of secrets is kept with rules instead of promises.
The author's of this book went far beyond any book that has even been sent in a high school setting, they exceeding every expectation I could ever imagine. They pushed every limit without actually having to go there, you will have to read the book to get that meaning. There are times in this book, you really want Bliss to wise up and like the safe boy but then your really rooting for Dusty. I wanted Dusty to do the right thing, for Bliss to be enough for him. I wanted Bliss to give him "what for", but then I thought of me back in high school. I was way too infatuated with my first love. He wasn't any good for me, he was very similar to Dusty. There would have been no way under the sun, I could have said anything to him.
You will feel every emotion on the scale with this book. I laughed and I cried. I had a lot of reminiscing about those days long ago and thanked God for unanswered prayers. He really does know what's best for us, after all.
I give Innocents, Dusty #1 5 stars
