Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but will it lead to a connection of the heart?
Let’s talk about Liz, Elizabeth (as Mal calls her) or Lizzy to everyone else. We meet her in Play and is a student when her sister Anne, hooks up with Mal. She sees Ben the bass player for Stage Dive. They connect but Mal has sworn off Lizzy to Ben because he is protecting her from Ben and his carefree lifestyle and really Mal is a little crazy, a GOOD crazy, but crazy none the less.
Now Ben's turn, poor loner Ben as his band mates have been hooking up he has been left to his own devices and fills his free time with, women, booze and his music. He is traveling around playing with other bands while his band mates play house.
Then Mal and Anne get married in Vegas and there is one night between Liz and Ben that leads to 2 pink lines that dictate the rest of their lives.
Ben is happy with his life as is and he just wants to be friends that raise the baby together. Knowing how Ben lives his life Liz reluctantly agrees. Friendship is not so easy when one party in secretly holding out for more.
The book had me wanting to punch Ben in his bearded face while simultaneously jumping his bones, serious he is sexy beyond reason. Liz was amazing. I would be her if this story was real. There is the perfect amount of angst from poor Lizzy and the brooding bearded beast that is Ben.
Throw in an annoying, out of control Marty and you are all set.
Jimmy/Lena, David/Ev, and Mal/Anne are very active in this book. Lots of surprises and Just lots of fun to read. I devoured it in one sitting.
I LOVE this series and I am assuming this is the last one but it would be amazing if we got a Marty/Sam novella. I wouldn't mind something about Vaughn either.
