Luke Thorstad had been thrown into the limelight, and the arms of dozens of willing women, in flight school when he’d become an unintentional hero. His biggest regret, ever, was leaving Caroline Hodges in the shadows. Finding her in a Cancun night club was his chance at redemption, and maybe the future they’d been denied years ago. But he’ll have to break down the walls she’s built around her heart

Review:
Both of them have been seeking something in others that they had together but let slip away. Caroline and Luke realize they still have a connection and since Caroline has been burned and at a crossroads in her life, she wont the relationship that she embarks on with Luke to be anymore than just sex. Luke on the other hand has other plans.
As Luke breaks down the wall around Caroline's heart she finds that maybe he is not the self centered guy who left her without a word in flight school but maybe he is more like the friend she cherished before their fateful end.
Luke pulls out all the stops to get the woman he wants forever and tries to make Caroline see that she can trust him and he can be her future, But with all of the baggage she has back home and her career in the balance can she make such a leap of faith or will she erect a permanent wall around her heart.
I fell in love with Luke from the beginning, he seemed genuinely sorry about the events that lead to their estrangement. I felt on a female level for Caroline because she was handed a crappy hand and did not deserve the crap that was being leveled at her.
I did not read the first book Christmas in Cancun but after reading this book I am definitely going to get to it.
