Synopsis:
Alexandria Hayes-Lewis was blessed with the perfect life. By day she managed her family’s detective agency in Seravan, the beautiful beach town where she was born and raised. By night she made love to her devilishly handsome husband.

Lexie never knew she’d been marked at birth by an Angel's Kiss—until one ordinary case turned deadly.

A brutal attack awakens a deeply hidden family legacy: a superhuman strength and vitality. Not only is she stronger—her gift also increases the power of immortal beings. With the secrets of her heritage unlocked, and her legacy revealed, Lexie becomes the prey.

Terrified by changes she doesn’t understand and sensual nightmares she can’t control, Lexie desperately searches for ways to harness the power flowing through her veins. But when people die and her family is threatened, she takes the ultimate step against those who want to shield her, those who want to possess her, and those who want to kill her. In a frantic bid for freedom, she enlists the help of an unusual guardian and an ancient weapon.

Will it be enough to save her?

Lynne Stevie wrote such a different version of angels and vampires that I have ever read. I am a big fan of vampires and the way she took the character Ellasar was unique and sexy! There are so many twists to this book that I didn’t see coming.

The way she also described the angels/dark angels was a change for me from others I had assumed Lynne would take the same route; but that wasn’t the case at all with these angels.

Lexie never expected her life to take such a drastic change were she was trying to survive instead of her usual everyday life. She went to being an investigator of the usual adultery cases to being a woman hiding from this unknown assailant that’s trying to kill her. Her world gets flipped upside down and you don’t want to miss out on this fast pass mystery.

My heart broke for Lexie so many times throughout this book, but my heart also tried to anticipate a big move that never happen. Angel’s Kiss left me hungry for more; to find out more of Lexie’s past and to see what her future has in store. Possibly with or without Ellasar!! 5 stars for this awesome intense read!

Synopsis:
From New York Times bestseller Heather Graham...

It's winter and a chill has settled over New Orleans, binding a stream of blood that leads a tourist to a dead man, face down in the bayou.

The man has been done in by a vicious beating, so violent that his skull has been crashed in.

It's barely a day before a second victim is found . . . once again so badly thrashed that the water runs red. The city becomes riddled with fear.

An old family friend comes to Danni Cafferty, telling her that he's terrified, he's certain that he's received a message from the Blood Bayou killer--It's your turn to pay, blood on the bayou.

The two quickly become involved, and--as they all begin to realize that a gruesome local history is being repeated--they find themselves in a fight to save not just a friend, but, perhaps, their very own lives.

Amy M.'s Review:

I have not read anything from Heather Graham until this book, Blood on the Bayou. I have to say after just reading the prologue I was put on alert since I read when my husband is at work and the entire apartment is too quiet.

Following Quinn and Cafferty through this amazingly told detective story to find out what or whom and how blood got on the bayou was incredibly thrilling for me. To say I was put on alert after chapter one is an understatement now, I was now frightened. I pictured this enormously tall creature walking around trying to find young woman to beat and kill just because it could. Throughout this book I had so many theories on who or what this thing was that was killing people at the swamp in Louisiana but to say I was shocked at how this one ended doesn’t come close to how I was feeling.

At times I had to stop reading this book because of the eerie feeling I got sitting at home alone in the quiet, I read every chance I got during the day. Everyone has seen a scary movie but it becomes a completely different feeling when you read a scary book. I was extremely nervous and a little anxious reading this book but it was completely worth the read. Do not miss out on this 5 star shocking mystery-thriller by Heather Graham.

Review
*I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Survival is a must! After being kidnapped by vampires, Ava is determined to persevere in this horrifying world she has forced into. She has been running from the vampires and has been anticipating eventually being captured. Her main adversary is Michael, with his twisted thoughts and tormented views of love. Will Ava endure her captors till she can escape, or will she find love with the anguished Michael?

I adored the idea behind the book and Nikki's twist on the vampires! Another enjoyable part of the book was being able to know each character's thoughts and feelings. However, there was minimal romance between Ava and Michael, if any at all. I would have also liked to have read more about Evan and Michael's past. There didn't seem to be enough suspense throughout the story; it all occurred at the end of the story.

I enjoyed this book and feel it is a good book overall but lacks certain grabbers that would have enhanced the story. Dayreader Reviews gives this new read 3 stars.
