This was my first read from Logan Chance and since this was a novella I was very sad and am going to be purchasing more of his books. Date Me was funny, sexy, arousing, upsetting and all around awesome!

Erik needs to find a date for his ex's wedding and I love this way of telling this kind of story. I know some of us have seen this type of story come around but Logan adds a little bit of craziness that I did not expect to happen. I was absolutely certain that this story would end completely different than what happened but that made this book so much more because of the different ending.

Everyone has that friend or sibling that wants to help because they think they know what is right and I loved Logan's way of changing things around. I was quite confused for a little bit with Erik but once everything was explained, being a woman, I could not believe I did not see that coming! Way to go Logan on this hot read! I can't wait to go back a read more of this series and more from you!

From USA Today bestselling author comes an all new STANDALONE second chance romance…

One night … one kiss … one touch … will change everything.

Chance Abbot is cocky.
Sexy.
Gorgeous.

A player in every sense of the word.

He broke my heart once, and I swore he’d never get a second chance.

But when he smiles at me, flashing those irresistible dimples or looks at me like I’m the best thing he’s ever seen, I forget I shouldn’t fall for his charms again.

Brie Holloway is beautiful.
Innocent.
Unforgettable.

She’s everything I’ve ever wanted and everything I don’t deserve.

But that won’t keep me from trying to win her back.

So when she starts dating her TA, I promise to keep her secret on one condition: for every time she goes out with him, she has to go out with me. I’m prepared to prove I’m right for her, one date at a time.

He’s lighting a fire in my heart and breaking down my walls, and proving he’s worthy of a second chance.

She’s everything that’s good in my world, and if she wants me to chase her I will because she’s got me catching fireflies…

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites; it excites me because I don't know her books well enough to know what to expect and she delivers amazing work every time! I was blown away by Catching Butterflies and after reading Catching Fireflies I was left in awe because of the choices that were taken throughout the book. I love second chance books and this book was filled with second chances or missed chances and Chance the sexy football player who was burned at an early age. Chance was raised by his dad, who himself was burned by his wife and lives with it everyday. After reading that I was left devastated because I knew that Chance would believe all woman to be as is mother was, a runner. Luckily he met the love of his life in high school...or so he thought.

Brie was a young girl who was raised by doctors and she knew she had to deliver the best in everything she did, even boys. Brie meets an incredible guy but the butterflies she felt quickly fell away when she told him something about herself that made him change his mind about their relationship. After one phone call could all that change the past and rekindle what felt right?

Like I said, I am a major fan of second chances and this book had me swooning and holding my husband tight with the love flowing through me. I have read quite a lot of endings and I have to say that this was one of my favorites! I love how Ms. Laine intertwines fireflies with these characters and makes for one of the best endings I have read yet. I didn't just fall in love with Chance or Brie but I fell in love with each character from Lenny to Kelley and I even became a fan of Sawyer. I really really need Sawyer and Ashton's story though because I am dying to find out what is going on with those two! Great work Ms. Laine and congrats on this awesome new release!

A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner

It’s crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you’ve been sober for so long.

Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation — it was just us.

It was just him — the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle.

It was just me — the alcoholic, pretending like I didn’t want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn’t make me crave him any less.

But we can’t start here.

No, to tell this story right, we need to go back.

Back to the beginning.

Back to the very first drop.

This is my love letter to Whiskey. I only hope he reads it.

This was only my second read by Ms. Steiner and she had my full attention throughout the entire book! I started on a Saturday morning, taking breaks throughout the day, and finished Sunday morning because once you start this book you HAVE to keep going to find out what happens next! My poor stomach was in knots, my nails are completely gone because I was so anxious about this story and at one point I had to stop and talk to my husband about it because I was just broken by what I read. In this book you meet Brecks/ B and her best friend Jenna who are in high school and they meet a boy named Jamie and they become a friendship of three. You watch the pull and push, the heart break and heart mend of young love evolving into more but never finding the right time. Ms. Steiner takes you through their high school, college and after college years trying to understand how to love.

Ms. Steiner broke me many times and put me back together only to be broken a few chapters later. My heart was wrapped up into B and all she goes through, and at a young age what she has to face with her family was just overwhelming. I really had a love-hate relationship with B though and I wanted to scream, cry and punch her in the face many times while reading this book but I kept up hope that she would overcome herself and really understand what she felt. When I was reading about Jamie all I had for him was love, that was again until I got about half way through the book and wanted to throw my phone at the wall in disappointment. I had a strong case of whip lash with this book and I LOVED it! I will say that I was VERY disgusted during some parts of this book where there is cheating but I truly believe this book was written so well that I didn't bother me ask much as it could have.

You will not be able to put this book down until you finish because you will be so wrapped up in the story that your sanity depends on finding out how the story ends. I had to know and my head was so torn from what happened before the end I started to cry because I just knew it wasn't ending how I wanted it to end, Ms. Steiner you wrote one heck of a book!!

Joel Anderson doesn’t take anything seriously.

Not his relationships, which have been few and far between since his brutal divorce. Not the drama of working in a tattoo parlor, which seems to be around every corner. When things get him down, he smiles and cracks a joke. But he’s not the kind of man you cross, or you’ll find yourself at the wrong end of his fists.

Annika Belousov takes everything seriously.

Like her job as a reality television producer, given that she typically has something to prove. Or her love life, which is defined by a series of requirements — affluent, ambitious, accomplished, to name a few. Definitely her family, who worked their whole lives to afford her every opportunity, a sacrifice she doesn’t take lightly. When she’s tapped to produce a reality show at Joel’s shop, she doesn’t think twice, just goes in for the kill, as if there were any other way.

The second Annika walks into Joel’s shop, he makes it his mission to crack her open, but she’s not having it. He’s all wrong — too crass, too hairy, too un-serious. But it doesn’t take her long to find out there’s more to him than smirks and tattoos. And what she finds could put her career and his heart on the line.

Not that Joel cares. Because for the first time in a long time, he’s found his tonic.

Every time I read one of Ms. Hart’s amazing books I get pulled into the world she has created and I feel every emotion that these characters are experiencing. We are brought into the world of tattoos and reality TV coupled with the drama of the behind the scenes of reality TV. Annika is a TV producer who has iced her heart over because of the harsh things she has had to do in her daily job. Annika and her boss Laney are in charge of a new reality show based on a tattoo shop’s owner Joel, his brother Shep, and their crew at the shop. Annika has some life changing decisions to make throughout most of the book and had my heart attached to her and the decisions she made.

My emotions ran from angry to deeply depressed and then bawling my eyes out in a sad way to bawling my eyes out in a happy way. My love for these characters was so deep I think I cried for majority of this book just out of pure love for them and the hope I was struggling to hang onto. I really thought I was not going to like Annika by the first couple of chapters because I immediately fell for Joel and his charm, but by the end of the book I understood where she was coming from and why she did the things she did throughout the book. I felt many different things about each character in Tonic from the new characters and even a familiar face had my stomach in knots by the end. Whether you meant to make me cry or not Ms. Hart this was one amazing cry for me and I will be feeling this one for a while. Congrats on this heartwarming 5 star read!

Losing Traction (Westbeach, #1) by Amo Jones

Author note: this is a series, meaning -- I will be doing character build ups for leading books. If you caught onto an obvious build up but didn't get an answer, you will.
My name is Phoebe Rendon. Growing up as the only girl surrounded by the Sinful Souls MC community has never been easy. Outside of the club, I had no life because my brother and his two psycho best friends kept tabs on me. My only out was racing at Point Hellers, the largest and steepest drift mountain in Westbeach, California. Cars were my life, and eight years later, that hasn’t changed. Only now, I have the funds to support my habit.
My love life’s been rocky. All I’ve known of love is twisted biker men from other MC chapters. Until I met Ryder Oakley, the lead singer and rock god from Twisted Transistor. He showed me the world in two weeks. Then one night he up and left me, without so much as a note. Now, two years later, I’ve been assigned as a fashion assistant to go on tour with Alyx Munroe, pop princess and diva queen. Only my shitty boss Maree omitted to inform me that Alyx Munroe would also be touring with Twisted Transistor. Just when I thought I’d forgotten Ryder, he comes back into my life in full force, causing me to slowly lose traction of my feelings.
With my plans for building my own racing circuit underway, I finally have the footing to leave the fashion industry and concentrate on finalising my circuit. Where we can showcase some of the best and hottest girl racers from around the world.
This empire is mine, but with power and money comes hate and destruction.
Welcome to Westbeach.

I am a huge fan of Amo Jones and everything I have read of hers so far has blown me away and that was no different with this book. Phoebe grabbed my attention when I first read about her in One Hundred and Thirty-Six Scars, and we only get a few glimpses of her but I couldn't wait to read more of her story. I knew Ryder and Ryker would be pretty awesome characters and I knew I would have a love-hate relationship with these hot rockstars!

So many of my questions from my first read of Phoebe to my now understanding of her makes complete sense and I am so very hungry for more! I freaking LOVE Ryker and I can't wait to dive into his story!! Phoebe is one of those girls you want to know because she is sexy on the inside and out, I think she is, so far, my favorite female character of Ms. Jones'. Events that took place in this book had me trying to read my fastest because I had to know what was going to happen next. I love everything about Amo Jones and her style of writing because she always has me at the edge of my seat craving more.

Amazing! This...this book has made me addicted to MC all over again. Princess (yes, that is her name) is the estranged daughter of the President of the Oath Keepers. He's been out of her life for a long time, but when he starts hanging around her mom's house again, she decides to get back at him by trying to sleep with as many of his club brothers as she can to embarrass him. But what she doesn't count on is catching the eye of the one person who doesn't report to her father.

Viking is a killer. He's a nomad for a reason. He doesn't like to follow rules. He was sent to kill the leader of the Oath Keepers Nomads but when the leader saves his life, he takes a look at the loyalty he sees and becomes a brother. Suddenly after seeing Princess in a bar, he can't keep away from her.

Everything I love about MC books is here in these pages. Viking is scary but oh so sexy. Princess is defiant, not a pushover, and a little wild. They both have just enough spirit that the other needs to tame. Sapphire Knight kept me reading and I couldn't look away.

A radiant story of first love and self-acceptance for fans of John Green, Jandy Nelson, and Rainbow Rowell

I heard very good things about this book and I tried to think positive when I first started, but I also knew something bad was suppose to happen which scared me. Honesty was my very first Seth King book and to start off so strong with this incredible book, I can only hope I read more great books like this one. I wasn’t sure I was going to like this type of book because I have read a similar book and couldn’t make it through the entire book. When you get half way through Honesty you HAVE to finish! Cole is the type of guy to pull you in and make you feel like he’s your best friend, at least that’s the way I felt. Nicky just really upset me most of the time and so much that I wanted to hit something because I knew if I hit my phone I might break it.

While first reading this book I had an idea of the way things were going to go because it just felt typical bullying; which started the anger towards Nicky and never went away. I had so many emotions going through me while reading that at one point I just ended up closing my phone and crying. I hurt for Cole and the man I knew he wanted to be but just couldn’t become his real self outside of his place. I hurt for Nicky because he was such a confused boy who kept hurting Cole every way possible. I even hurt for the men and women going through these real life situations every day. By the end of this book I was a complete mess and needed a full week before I even wanted to touch another book. Seth King…WOW is the only word I could come up with and it’s the word that came out of my mouth after finishing this book. Congrats on a breath taking book and I am eager to start another!

Caribou Caldwell is my worst nightmare.

Unfortunately, she’s also the star of my sexiest dreams.

What happens when a small town guy becomes the focus of a million fantasies? As Erik Kelso navigates his sudden notoriety, will his feelings for Cari turn out to be anything but love?

Picture
A warm home for broken hearts, the Fireside Grill serves up hope and healing in equal measure. Stacey Lynn’s sensual, deeply emotional series heats up as a jaded restaurateur falls hard for a woman who’s hiding from a damaged past.

Synopsis:
Declan James lost his last ounce of trust the day his wife walked out the door, leaving him to save the restaurant they built together. Throwing himself into his work, Declan swears off women—or at least, women who expect him to stick around in the morning. But when he discovers a skittish beauty scrounging through the Fireside’s trash to feed her dog, Declan offers her a job and a place to rest her head. There’s just something about her that awakens his protective side. And soon, not even that mangy mutt can stop Declan from caring for her.

After one too many trips to the ER, Trina Wilson finally gathered the courage to leave her husband, taking only her car and hyperactive boxer. Unfortunately, life on the run proves harder than she anticipated—until Declan takes a leap of faith on her. But even as Trina starts to see beyond his gruff exterior, she can’t relax, even for a moment. Not with her husband still tracking her down. What Trina doesn’t know is that in Declan, she has a powerful ally—and, if she would only follow her heart, a devoted lover.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

Kay's Review

Terina left her life behind running from the monster she calls “husband” and unexpectedly finds herself in a small town where she meets Declan a sexy brut of a man who is hell bent on helping Terina after finding her pilfering throw his trash. Immediately Delcan is drawn to the women who is glaringly obvious not a homeless person. Their relationship grows around Terina’s insecurities and Declan’s overwhelming need to protect her. But the past has to caught up to her at some point, right?

This is the second book I have read by Stacey Lynn and I have yet to be disappointed in her work. This book deals with the controversial topic of domestic violence whoever there are no graphic scenes of abuse. Making it a pretty safe read for anyone who's experienced abuse.

I enjoy Stacey Lynn’s writing and character development. Declan is a dreamboat sexy, masculine, fine, hardworking, and LOVING! Congratulations on another success Stacey Lynn.

*Received for an honest review.

Weightless by Kandi Steiner

Picture
I remember the lights.

I remember I wanted to photograph them, the way the red and blue splashed across his cold, emotionless face. But I knew even if my feet could move from the place where they had cemented themselves to the ground and I could run for my camera, I wouldn’t be able to capture that moment.

I had trusted him, I had loved him, and even though my body had changed that summer, he’d made sure to help me hold on to who I was inside, regardless of how the exterior altered.

But then everything changed.

He stole my innocence. He scarred my heart. He took everything I thought I knew about my life and fast-pitched it out the window, shattering the glass that held my world together in the process.

I remember the lights.

The passionate, desperate, hot strikes of red. The harsh, cruel, icy bolts of blue.

They symbolized everything I endured that summer.

And everything I would never face again.

Weightless was my first read from Ms. Steiner, and so many shocking things happened that blew me away! Very real topics throughout this book that had me thinking about weight like Natalie. I am not a skinny girl and I was very curious about this book but also worried. I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Ms. Steiner but I am so grateful I got a chance to read this book! Rhodes had me wanting to run to a gym and find myself a trainer!! He became the man he was always meant to be but the chance was ripped away from him, for reasons he knew nothing about. I am usually only wrapped up in one character but for me this book had I all tangled up into the feelings of Natalie and Rhodes, even though I felt they were fighting me the whole time! Shocked doesn’t even describe the end of this book and I couldn’t tell you how surprised, angry, and overwhelmed I was at the end.

I felt like Natalie at one point in my life and I am sure many women who read this book will know how Natalie felt. I wanted to strangle a particle girl in this book I wanted to stop reading but I knew Natalie would push through her hurt and I only hoped she could overcome all she went through. What an amazing book by Ms. Steiner and congrats on this beautifully written 5 star read!!
