This was my first read from Logan Chance and since this was a novella I was very sad and am going to be purchasing more of his books. Date Me was funny, sexy, arousing, upsetting and all around awesome!

Erik needs to find a date for his ex's wedding and I love this way of telling this kind of story. I know some of us have seen this type of story come around but Logan adds a little bit of craziness that I did not expect to happen. I was absolutely certain that this story would end completely different than what happened but that made this book so much more because of the different ending.

Everyone has that friend or sibling that wants to help because they think they know what is right and I loved Logan's way of changing things around. I was quite confused for a little bit with Erik but once everything was explained, being a woman, I could not believe I did not see that coming! Way to go Logan on this hot read! I can't wait to go back a read more of this series and more from you!

From USA Today bestselling author comes an all new STANDALONE second chance romance…

One night … one kiss … one touch … will change everything.

Chance Abbot is cocky.
Sexy.
Gorgeous.

A player in every sense of the word.

He broke my heart once, and I swore he’d never get a second chance.

Brie Holloway is beautiful.
Innocent.
Unforgettable.

She’s everything I’ve ever wanted and everything I don’t deserve.

But that won’t keep me from trying to win her back.

So when she starts dating her TA, I promise to keep her secret on one condition: for every time she goes out with him, she has to go out with me. I’m prepared to prove I’m right for her, one date at a time.

He’s lighting a fire in my heart and breaking down my walls, and proving he’s worthy of a second chance.

She’s everything that’s good in my world, and if she wants me to chase her I will because she’s got me catching fireflies…

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites; it excites me because I don't know her books well enough to know what to expect and she delivers amazing work every time! I was blown away by Catching Butterflies and after reading Catching Fireflies I was left in awe because of the choices that were taken throughout the book. I love second chance books and this book was filled with second chances or missed chances and Chance the sexy football player who was burned at an early age. Chance was raised by his dad, who himself was burned by his wife and lives with it everyday. After reading that I was left devastated because I knew that Chance would believe all woman to be as is mother was, a runner. Luckily he met the love of his life in high school...or so he thought.

Brie was a young girl who was raised by doctors and she knew she had to deliver the best in everything she did, even boys. Brie meets an incredible guy but the butterflies she felt quickly fell away when she told him something about herself that made him change his mind about their relationship. After one phone call could all that change the past and rekindle what felt right?

Like I said, I am a major fan of second chances and this book had me swooning and holding my husband tight with the love flowing through me. I have read quite a lot of endings and I have to say that this was one of my favorites! I love how Ms. Laine intertwines fireflies with these characters and makes for one of the best endings I have read yet. I didn't just fall in love with Chance or Brie but I fell in love with each character from Lenny to Kelley and I even became a fan of Sawyer. I really really need Sawyer and Ashton's story though because I am dying to find out what is going on with those two! Great work Ms. Laine and congrats on this awesome new release!

A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner

It’s crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you’ve been sober for so long.

Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation — it was just us.

It was just him — the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle.

It was just me — the alcoholic, pretending like I didn’t want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn’t make me crave him any less.

But we can’t start here.

No, to tell this story right, we need to go back.

Back to the beginning.

Back to the very first drop.

This is my love letter to Whiskey. I only hope he reads it.

This was only my second read by Ms. Steiner and she had my full attention throughout the entire book! I started on a Saturday morning, taking breaks throughout the day, and finished Sunday morning because once you start this book you HAVE to keep going to find out what happens next! My poor stomach was in knots, my nails are completely gone because I was so anxious about this story and at one point I had to stop and talk to my husband about it because I was just broken by what I read. In this book you meet Brecks/ B and her best friend Jenna who are in high school and they meet a boy named Jamie and they become a friendship of three. You watch the pull and push, the heart break and heart mend of young love evolving into more but never finding the right time. Ms. Steiner takes you through their high school, college and after college years trying to understand how to love.

Ms. Steiner broke me many times and put me back together only to be broken a few chapters later. My heart was wrapped up into B and all she goes through, and at a young age what she has to face with her family was just overwhelming. I really had a love-hate relationship with B though and I wanted to scream, cry and punch her in the face many times while reading this book but I kept up hope that she would overcome herself and really understand what she felt. When I was reading about Jamie all I had for him was love, that was again until I got about half way through the book and wanted to throw my phone at the wall in disappointment. I had a strong case of whip lash with this book and I LOVED it! I will say that I was VERY disgusted during some parts of this book where there is cheating but I truly believe this book was written so well that I didn't bother me ask much as it could have.

You will not be able to put this book down until you finish because you will be so wrapped up in the story that your sanity depends on finding out how the story ends. I had to know and my head was so torn from what happened before the end I started to cry because I just knew it wasn't ending how I wanted it to end, Ms. Steiner you wrote one heck of a book!!

Synopsis

I was light, and I was pure. Until I wasn’t.

Millie

I’m Millie Hart, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dedicated my life to my Catholic faith. It was a part of me every step of the way. So when I decided to join a nunnery, no one in my family was surprised. I’m not sure at what point my life changed or where it went extremely wrong. My nightmares are becoming realities as my world starts to slowly tremble under the ground I’m presently shackled to. I was taken. Everything I thought I knew was about to rain down on me in drops of lies, deceit, and undiluted evil.

Tripp/Raze

I’m more machine than man. I’m the alpha and the omega of The Army, and the leader of The 6 masked huntsmen. I live and bleed this life. The arms that raised me weren’t carrying love— they were carrying knives and AKs. I’m agent 000, the executioner, and the damn devil who walks in the flesh. No one can break through my hard shell— not even her.

I am still in shock of what I just finished reading! This book just goes to show how incredibly talented and amazing this author is what how she puts exactly what she wants you to see in writing. I envisioned ever single sick detail of what went on during this book that left me so fascinated it scared me. When we last heard from Millie she was just taken from her sister and the Devil's Due MC; what happened to Melissa's nun sister, I for one was terrified to know.

I could tell you about this story in certain details and describe each character but knowing what I know now about the ending and throughout this story just wouldn't give it justice. You need to just know that this was the most twisted story I have ever read, and I absolutely loved every moment. Millie meets Raze/Tripp and her world comes falling down around her to a dark place she won't be able to come out. I am so heartbroken over a certain character in this book and I don't know how things will carry on but I am aching to find out more of this story. You are left in such an heart warming way at the end it left me in tears. I fall more and more in love with this author every new book I read! This book was filled with blood, death, dismembered bodies, sister love, twisted romance, hot sex and even some humor at times. I craved to keep reading each chapter as it would get darker and darker. Thank you Amo Jones for pulling me out of my reading funk and back to life through your darkness!

Synopsis:
I’ve loved him as long as I can remember.

The gangly boy with big brown eyes and unruly hair who grew up into an intoxicating man. He wears scruff like he invented it and ambles with a swagger that makes panties drop.

Killian Shepard.

Shep.

We grew up together. We played Ghost in the Graveyard. Had our own rock band. It didn’t matter that he was five years older than me. It didn’t matter that he looked at me as a kid sister even as I grew into a woman. It didn’t even matter when he left me behind to go to college and start his adult life.

He’d be back.

He was always meant to be mine.

He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me—us—the day he married my sister instead of me.

So I did the only thing a girl like me in my position could do.

I got my revenge.

I married his brother, Kael.

Now we’re one big happy fucking family.

I'm still reeling from this book. I'm in total awe. This was one of the most enduring and romantic books I've read in a long time. First let me say this is NOT a cheating book, although there is a love triangle. Maverick has been in love with Killian Shepard for as long as she can remember. Her best friend is his brother, Kael. Kael has been in love with Mav, but he has always been in the "friend zone" until the day Killian marries Jillian, Mavs' sister, betraying Maverick.

Killian and Jillian's marriage comes out of nowhere, but Kael doesn't wait, knowing that Maverick still loves his brother. And Maverick agrees to not only date Kael, also to  marriage. She's always loved Kael, but not the way she does Killian.  As this story progresses, we see Maverick determined to make the marriage work, slowly learning that she loves Kael more than she thought she did. Confusing her further, Killian seems determined to get her back.

Like I said this is not a cheating book, but it is a beautiful tale of a strong woman pulled between two men who both love her dearly. This story kept me entranced and in tears. Told through flashbacks over the progression of their first year of marriage, you see the struggles of real newlyweds, multiplied by the unresolved feelings Maverick has.

This is the first book I've read by KL Kreig, but it will not be the last. This was a strong 5-star book. Be sure to have hankies ready by the end. Beautiful!

I want to reach out to my family, but I already know they'd tell me I screwed up, just like in the past.
I have to figure this out.

Hearts will be broken, and one of them will most definitely be mine.

I'm Joshua Healy, and this is exactly what I deserve.

Family - that is the first word that comes to mind whenever I read one of Jenn Foor's books. The next word(s) - Sexy Cowboy. Josh Healy is the baby of the family; well, the adult baby of the family anyways. It seems like everyone around him is married and having babies. But the only woman Josh has ever loved has left town and broke his heart. And the worse part about it is no one in his family knows and can't know. His first love is also the baby sister of his best friend, who is also his brother-in-law. So, Josh is only looking for a good time.

Tamsyn isn't looking for another relationship, but a one night stand sounds just fine by her, especially when the right guy pulls up just in time - while she's confronted by her ex-boyfriend after discovering that he cheated on her with her roommate. One night...that's all it was supposed to be. But dang! That sexy cowboy just won't leave her alone. And she really doesn't want him to. But they are both in for a wild ride when his first love comes back into town and is determined to make him hers again.

I freaking love Jenn Foor's Mitchell/Healy Series! If you've never read one, you can pick up any book in the series and just read. I love all of them, but you're not lost if you haven't read them before. The biggest thread throughout all of her stories is the tight bond and unconditional love of the family. Reading her series from the beginning, and you can see that all of the characters remember their roots, and the roots in this family run deep and strong. Jenn Foor's Joshua is a 5-star read.

Weightless by Kandi Steiner

I remember the lights.

I remember I wanted to photograph them, the way the red and blue splashed across his cold, emotionless face. But I knew even if my feet could move from the place where they had cemented themselves to the ground and I could run for my camera, I wouldn’t be able to capture that moment.

I had trusted him, I had loved him, and even though my body had changed that summer, he’d made sure to help me hold on to who I was inside, regardless of how the exterior altered.

But then everything changed.

He stole my innocence. He scarred my heart. He took everything I thought I knew about my life and fast-pitched it out the window, shattering the glass that held my world together in the process.

I remember the lights.

The passionate, desperate, hot strikes of red. The harsh, cruel, icy bolts of blue.

They symbolized everything I endured that summer.

And everything I would never face again.

Weightless was my first read from Ms. Steiner, and so many shocking things happened that blew me away! Very real topics throughout this book that had me thinking about weight like Natalie. I am not a skinny girl and I was very curious about this book but also worried. I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Ms. Steiner but I am so grateful I got a chance to read this book! Rhodes had me wanting to run to a gym and find myself a trainer!! He became the man he was always meant to be but the chance was ripped away from him, for reasons he knew nothing about. I am usually only wrapped up in one character but for me this book had I all tangled up into the feelings of Natalie and Rhodes, even though I felt they were fighting me the whole time! Shocked doesn’t even describe the end of this book and I couldn’t tell you how surprised, angry, and overwhelmed I was at the end.

I felt like Natalie at one point in my life and I am sure many women who read this book will know how Natalie felt. I wanted to strangle a particle girl in this book I wanted to stop reading but I knew Natalie would push through her hurt and I only hoped she could overcome all she went through. What an amazing book by Ms. Steiner and congrats on this beautifully written 5 star read!!

I haven’t read much from Ms. Laine but OMG I definitely will be reading more from here! I had so many mixed emotions throughout this book but I couldn’t get enough and was well worth the butterflies I was feeling! My stomach had many crazy parts were I couldn’t help the need to keep reading no matter the sleep I was depriving myself of because I had to finish just one more chapter!

Kelley Moore had the life no one wishes for their son, but unfortunately had no choice in the matter. Growing up with in the worst atmosphere and moved from one place to another for fear that people would find out what happened behind closed doors. Kelley uses girls as a way to release his anger in a more reasonable manner and one he usually can keep his emotions away from but can one girl open him up to more. The girl he can’t have could change the way he feels, but one fist changes his entire world. Will he see the girl he can’t have again?

Lenora (Lenny/Len) Wells has made sacrifices for her family being with the towns hot shot. She was content being with him because once she got to know the boy; he wasn’t as bad as she thought. Only then she didn’t know of the sexy new kid who would stir butterflies. Out of High School things only got worse with time and time she was afraid would soon run out if she didn’t keep him happy.

Lenny and Kelley had such difficult times in their lives that I think made them stronger and without those things I believe they may not have found their true selves. My hope for this story hurt my heart about halfway through and completely shocked me at the same time. I love this story of overcoming your past and proving to yourself you deserve better. I believe this is a story for many to read and re-read! I love the ending how Ms. Laine blew me away and I can’t wait to re-read this story over and over again. 5 stars Ms. Laine for such a heart filled read, Thank you!

Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.

Cami was born into the Savage Disciples MC, but she ventured out to build a life of her own away from the club. She’s engaged now, living a new life despite missing the bikers that raised her. Overall, she’s… fine.
Sure, fine. She’s fine with the fiancé who is more interested in position and image than the woman in his life. She’s fine with the fake people around and the suffocating passive aggression. She’s fine with the fact that she is turning to drugs to self-medicate.

A Disciple will fight like a savage for what he wants.

When Gauge tags along to visit his club brother’s daughter, he can’t believe the two women he meets: the fiery daughter of a biker and the puppet with the blank affect. And yet, they’re both Cami.
He sees the fire beneath surface, and he wants to watch it burn. He wants to rip away the man smothering her like a wet blanket. He wants to see the flames consume that cookie-cutter future-wife facade to the ground and dance with her in the flames.

When this biker clutches onto a Disciple’s daughter, there is no letting go.

From what i was told this is Ms Elyse's debut novel. Spot on Ms Elyse! MC series is my total weakness, i can't wait to read the next book.

So let me introduce you to our main players; Gauge is part of the MC where Cami's dad, Tank, has been a member for years. Cami is engaged to a pompous grade A jerk. Nate thinks it is his right to make every decision for Cami. Tank decides to go for a visit to see his daughter and Gauge decides to go with him. For the first time ever Cami's little heart does all kinds of the flops.

As Gauge and Cami try to navigate this thing called life and trying to figure out what they are feeling is the real thing, a blast from Gauges past comes barging into their lives. Can they deal with the turn of events Stacy brings? Can they learn to live with this new reality?

For this being a debut novel I was very nervous to read it. It took me by surprise that I read this book in 2 days. Once i started it, I couldn't put it down. She had such glorious descriptions and made you feel like you were sitting in that clubhouse living this life with the club!

Welcome to The Isle...

Lily Locke has never believed in witches and wizards, ghosts and magic, shifters and vampires—especially cute blonde vamps with blood-intolerance issues. A rising star at a hotshot marketing agency in Minneapolis, Minnesota, all Lily knows is that she’s a PowerPoint guru, an Excel ninja, and a coffee-maker extraordinaire. Not to mention she’s next in line for a huge promotion.

All that changes when Lily’s assistant delivers a strange quiz to her, one titled A Magical Assessment for Normal Folks. With it comes the promise of a land she's never known existed. A land where Lily not only discovers her biological family for the first time, but a place where she can make a difference, change lives, and step into the role she’s destined to fulfill.

But first, Lily must admit she’s a witch. Then, she has to acknowledge that the tall, dark, and mysterious man who offers his help is strictly focused on business...at least, for now. When a body turns up dead and the next target is Lily, she must trust her powers and accept the help of her newfound friends. Otherwise, she'll never survive the trials of the magical island tucked far, far away in the frigid waters of Lake Superior.

Welcome to The Isle.

** **

This novel is a full-length, humorous cozy mystery featuring a splash of magic, a handful of witches, and a dash of romance. It's rated PG-13 due to mild language and some romance.

I am a big fan of anything paranormal and when I was given the chance to give my honest opinion about this paranormal read, I couldn’t pass that up. This was my first read of Gina LaManna, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from her, but let me tell you she has found a new fan! Once I was pulled into the world that Lily Locke was immersed in to and the mystery after certain mishaps, I was completely absorbed by Gina’s words.

Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what to think about witches, wizards and other aspects of this book that you can figure out from the synopsis because my paranormal reads usually only include vampires, angels or werewolves. I have found a new intriguing paranormal read because after the first couple of chapters I needed to know more. Lily Locke at one time was just a normal girl working for a marketing agency when one meeting changed everything for her. Lily quickly finds out more information about her than she knew could possibly exist. She fairly quickly needed to come to terms with the unknown and (from her state of mind) the impossible.

The further you went into the book the more questions you started to ask yourself and needed answers. I found myself getting attached to Lily and the people in this story because of the fantastic humor LaManna expresses throughout the book, and emotion that you could feel behind some of the humor. I still have so many questions about Lily, other characters, and what I can only imagine is a very sexy Ranger X!

I hope to read more from LaManna soon and I rate Hex on the Beach 4.5 stars! This book was rated PG-13 and I would recommend this book to all who read.
