Igor Finley recently moved back to his hometown after his last military deployment and discharge because of his PTSD. He's returning to Thurston University for his degree, so he can provide for his two young children.
There were fireworks when the two met, but will they be able to keep them out of the classroom? Will Hannah stay in Thurston once she realizes her feelings, or will she be carried away like a Breeze towards her career goals?
I like that Hannah was determined and had a plan and she seemed to be headed towards that plan, however she seemed to be too determined and could not see what was right in front of her face.
Finley suffers from PTSD, has two children and an ex-wife, so he has a little "baggage", but he instantly likes what he sees.
There is some chemistry between Hannah and Finley but I did not feel the "taboo" of the student/teacher relationship even though it was present. Yes she was his professor but she resolves that issue pretty quickly. I wanted to feel the electricity that Hannah and Finley felt.
The secondary characters are shining stars of this story. Supportive Stacy, Brotherly Will, SEXY NATE! ( I wanted much more NATE), sweet Avery and Baby Owen.
Although it was a good story, I wanted more, more what? More Nate/Hannah backstory, more Daisy/Fin backstory. I know there is another installment so I hope all the questions I was left with are answered in it.
I would recommend this read to anyone looking for a quick lazy Sunday read.
I give Breeze 4 Stars.
