Written by: Tamara Hoffa
Fate has dealt bear shifter Martin Kruger and rotten hand. His destined mate, Dr. Elizabeth Montrose, is the enemy and suffers from a fatal illness. He‘s waited over two hundred years for a mate he might never have the chance to claim.
Elizabeth has long ago given up dreams of love, marriage and children. Her life is her research and now that is gone in a puff of smoke, thanks to the bears of Honey Corners. A tiny spark of hope blooms in her heart when the handsome bear tells her they are mates, but will that instinctual bond be enough to overcome all that stands between them?
Bear Hearts Review
First off I want to say that I love Tamara Hoffa, she writes great shifter books!
Bear Hearts was a great read! This book was written with an interesting perspective. It is from the perspective of the scientist that wants to find a cure for cancer and other ailments. Lizzy the scientist also has cancer so it is imperative that she finds a cure!
One thing I didn’t enjoy about the book was that Hoffa recapped what had happened from the previous story Hers to Bear so it was a little monotonous, but it would be helpful if you can’t remember what happened previously.
Although, I did like how Lizzy’s bear comforts her before he shift, I thought that was a sweet angle. It was creative that Hoffa gave Lizzy’s bear her own name, I thought that was sweet. I’m patiently waiting for the third book (fingers crossed), not sure who she will write about next....Alice the bestie of Jenna or the Bear that is gay. Either way I’m ready! I rate this book a 5!
