*Hurricane Crimes is a novella under 50 pages.*

After her car breaks down, Beth Kennedy is forced to stay in Florida, the target of Hurricane Sabrina. She stocks up supplies, boards up windows, and hunkers down to wait out the storm, but her plan unravels when she witnesses a car accident. Risking her life, she braves the winds to save the driver. Just when she believes they are safe, she finds out the man she saved could possibly be more dangerous than the severe weather.

Donovan Goldwyn only wanted to hide from the police, but the hurricane shoved his car into a tree. Now he's trapped with a beautiful woman while the evidence that can prove his innocence to a brutal crime is out there for anyone to find.

As Hurricane Sabrina wreaks havoc, Beth has no other choice but to trust Donovan to stay alive. But will she survive, or will she become another hurricane crime?

Hurricane Crimes is a short story about a woman who finds herself trapped in her home during a nasty storm. While hunkering down she noticed a car that crashed into a tree just outside her home. Braving the storm she  save the man in the car, but learns he is wanted for murder. Now stuck in the house with an assumed murder she is faced with questioning whether she should believe his innocence while being attracted to him. I will stop here since I do not want to give the story away.

I will say that there were times when I felt like saying, "Yeah, right!". But in the heart of it all this story lead me smoothly from one scene to the next. This is the first short I have ever read and I was worried that the meat of the story would be missing, but Chry Fey does a wonderful job tying everything together nicely while ensuring an interesting read.

Country Nights by Winter Renshaw

Sixty country days and sixty country nights—that’s all I wanted.

I needed to get away from the city, away from the hot mess that had become my life.

When I stumbled upon my childhood home on RentBnB.com, I took it as a sign, cleaned out my life savings, and hightailed it to the only place that ever meant something to me, a place I hadn’t seen since a lifetime ago.

Only when I arrived to the familiar South Dakotan farmhouse, I was met by a brooding, we-don’t-take-kindly-to-strangers cowboy by the name of River McCray, who insisted this was his house and most definitely not a rental property.

I’d been internet scammed.

And that cocky, smart-mouthed stranger had the nerve to make me a humiliating offer: I could stay in his house for the next two months rent-free, but I had to work for him.

He’d be my boss. And my roommate.

With no money and nowhere else to go, I agreed. But nothing could have prepared me for the tension, the attraction, and the bombshell revelation that changed … everything.

Winter Renshaw is a word magician. I have enjoyed all of her books that I have read. This book was no exception. Her ability to pull you the reader into her word world is unbelievable.

River and Leighton both have very heart wrenching pasts. River has turned into an introvert and stays to his self at all times. Leighton has just ended her engagement to a total controlling prick. The way their pasts intersect to create a new future was just beautiful!

This is a must read

You were my brother in the line of duty.
My partner.
My best friend.
You were the man who had it all.
Your thoroughness and precision made you a great cop.
It’s what got you killed.
And now I live with the darkening shadows of your memory.
You weren’t here when I needed you to save me.
You weren’t here when I needed help solving the most gruesome murder this town had ever seen.
But most of all, you weren’t here to keep me from falling in love with your wife.

Living a life in darkness causes the soul to char to ash. Battling demons by turning himself into a monster is the only way he can survive...the only way he can keep a grip on sanity. That grip is precarious at best, every day is a silent battle with demons that threaten to yank him into the truest form of darkness, the abyss he’ll never escape. Then it happens. Light shines through the cracks.

Happiness. Mia Spencer’s life is full of it. She has an amazing new job, friends, family, and the light of her life - her daughter Lexie. Running from the demons of the past, escaping a hell that she vowed Lexie would never know about, she worked through hardship and near poverty to create something she was proud of. Buried deep inside, underneath the swell of love she had for her only daughter, were the fractured pieces of her. Pieces that were smashed and battered when she was young and vulnerable.

Then she meets Bull, who seems to hate her on sight. He screams danger, from his huge physique, to his beautiful ink, to the motorcycle club he belongs to. He is silent, his glares threaten to burn her into flames, yet she finds herself falling for him. Finds this broken man slowly fixing the pieces she thought would stay shattered forever.

Oh my Goodness. I just put this book down and want to read it again! I am in love with this series and need more, stat! Anne Malcolm was a new to me authors and I have read two of her books in 3 days. That is seriously how good they are!

Mia and Lexie just moved into a new town for Mia's new job. This mother daughter unit is so darn funny I took a drink of a coke and it came out my nose, that is how hard I was laughing at the memorable one liners in this boom. Insert Bull, the surly Enforcer for The Sons MC.

Bull and Mia have heartbreaking pasts that prevent them from letting walls come down for happiness. It takes Lex, Mia's daughter and some good friends to wake Mia up. This book had the perfect amount of action, tenderness and poor comic relief!

Possessive biker alert

Monroe Lee is a handful.
She fights me, challenges me and tries to resist me.

Where I’m jagged, she’s smooth.
Where I’m dark, she’s pure.
Where I’m broken, she’s whole.

I am not a good man.
I’ve hurt everyone I’ve ever loved.
I should walk away before I ruin her too.

But fuck, we are fire together.
And I’ve been out in the cold too long.

At a time when everything is falling down around me, she might just be my saviour.

Hyde - I love this growly, alpha biker. The opening to this book gives us a glimpse of his soft side, and lets us see the reasoning behind his torment, the reason he is Jekyll and Hyde. At the age of twenty-one, he was forced to leave his family for their safety. Fast forward 14 years later, and he's making sure that he is going to be a part of their lives. His marriage is over, too much time has past, but he wants to be a good father. With bad stuff going down with the club, Hyde needs the assistance of a sassy tattoo artist, Monroe. Monroe has an attraction to the big bad biker, but she's got a list for the perfect guy, and being a biker isn't on it. But little by little, she starts ticking items off her list and realizes there is way more to Hyde than being in a MC.

This book tackles many different subjects, without it being too much. It fits in with the story. And what a story! The steam between Hyde and Monroe is HOT! Monroe is a strong female character who holds her own and knows how to handle the big alpha. And her sassiness helps bring out Hyde's tender side. 5-stars and one of the best in the Sydney Storm series.

Amy Abrams doesn’t do love. Nor does she do emotional attachments, unless you count the connection she has with designer handbags. She grew up in an Upper East Side penthouse, which had about as much affection within its tastefully decorated walls as Castle Dracula. Her family is the precise reason why she points her red-soled heels firmly in the opposite direction of that dreaded four-letter word.

Then it happens. Love. It comes right out of the blue and knocks her off her six-inch heels. She learns that love comes with pesky side effects such as heartbreak, which seriously messes with the complexion. Amy promises herself that she’ll never open herself to that horrible feeling again. She doesn’t count on an infuriating, albeit drool-worthy biker to roar into her life and ruin the plans she had of locking up her heart. She keeps her distance, wary of the sinfully sexy biker whose tattoos should read Warning - dangerous alpha male, will screw up your life.

Amy may be an Upper East Side princess but she wasn’t looking for Prince Charming. She wouldn’t mind the name of his hair stylist, though. Brock certainly isn’t a knight in shining armor, but he consumes her, body and soul. Drama pulls them apart; danger will bring them back together. When Amy is threatened Brock is there ready to save her life. Her heart is another story.

Holy crap, holy crap and just one more holy crap! In the beginning of this book I wasnt sure I was going to like this one as much as the first one. Boy, I was so wrong.

Brock and Amy are two of the most stubborn, hard headed and a tad egotistical people I have ever read. He thinks he needs to control her to keep her safe and she WILL NOT let him give her orders. She stands up to him and dishes everything right back to him.

This book is steamy, funny and the twist of events make you gasp.

Have you ever wanted something so badly it consumes you?
There is a fine line between needs and wants.

Deke Gavelson has wanted his Ravage cut for as long as he can remember. He’s earned it. He was born to be in this club. He’s not afraid to fight for his place, either.

Then she barreled into his world, and Deke suddenly desires something more than his rag and winning the next round.

Rylie Hollister has lived through hell and back. Each event makes her the strong, independent woman she is today. Until a bitter underground fighter threatens to turn her plans upside down.

These two are bound by their desires, but oh, how that changes when his intensity meets her passion.

The kids from the Ravage MC have all grown up. Casey (Angel) and G.T.'s son, Deke, left home when he was eighteen, and had no plans to come back, until his cousin shows up at his door, beaten and with a secret of her own. He has to take her back and come face to face with his inner demons. Rylie is tough as nails and can hold her own. She's a bouncer, whose talent's catch the eye of Princess and is asked to work security for Ravage's strip club. Rylie is interviewing for the job at the Ravage MC clubhouse when Deke comes home.

There is so much that I loved about this book. First the writing was phenomenal.Second, the characters. Rylie was perfect. Feminine but tough. I have a special place in my heart for Deke. He wants so bad to have the respect of the club, his family, but mostly, his father. And the third reason I loved this book - Family. It was Deke's love for his family that forced him to come back, and love for his family which made him stay. And it was love of family that made him realize that people really did have his back.

I love reading "generation series". I read about the parents. I've read about when they have children. But then you're left wondering - How are they as parents? How did they deal with the teenage years? Are they still together? The best part to me about reading the next generation is catching up on original couples and seeing how they've coped with life. And then the ending!! 5-stars and please don't make us wait too long for Austyn's book. OMG!!

Diablo (Night Rebels MC, #3) by Chiah Wilder

Picture
Diablo, Sergeant-At-Arms of the Night Rebels MC, doesn’t chase women the way his fellow brothers do. Women flock to the ripped, bearded, tatted biker, but he pushes them away.

His past haunts him and rage burns deep inside him. His only focus is the club, his Harley, and his shots of whiskey. He doesn’t want a woman messing with his life. He doesn’t trust them.

Then he sees her. Her hazel eyes reflect sadness and regret. He’s drawn to the loneliness that fills her up—it haunts him.

She’s his employer’s daughter. He knows he should stay away from her, but he can’t. He wants to take her in his arms and protect her, but she won’t even talk to him.

Diablo’s not the type to give up. He wants her, and he’ll do everything he can to make her his.

Fallon Richardson can’t stand a man’s touch. Ever since her mother left her when she was a young girl, she’s been living in hell. Her father is the kingpin in illegal underground fighting. She tries to make herself inconspicuous so the men won’t notice her and the women won’t make fun of her, but it never works.

She hates being at the fights, but her father demands her presence.

Then she sees him across the room. His penetrating stare pulls her in no matter how hard she resists.

The tall, muscled man stirs feelings in her she has shut off for years. Her body wants him, yet, she can’t give herself to him. Men are cruel, animalistic, and not to be trusted. But the tattooed man has a softness beneath his rough exterior that speaks to her.

Then shadows from years ago emerge from the darkness, and soon Fallon doesn’t know who to trust. Her world is turned upside down, and she fears not only for her sanity but for her life.

Can Diablo and Fallon gain each other’s trust in time for him to protect her?

Wow, wow, just wow! I wish that all I was allowed to say. I finished this book last night and I am still thinking about this book! I have been lucky enough to read all 3 books in this series and I think this is by far my favorite one.

Diablo is the loner of the MC. His past keeps him from getting close to people. Fallon is his bosses daughter. Hands off, right? I mean, any normal person would back off immediately. Not Diablo!

Fallon has had one heck of a life and doesn't trust anyone, including her father and step mother. As this story unfolds you find out what has triggered Fallons introverted manner and Diablos loner mentality. But, together they are one rockstar couple.

This novel had some gasping twists and turns and then some of the most tender moments....yep....all rolled into one book. The mastery of word play was fantastic, the emotions even better!

I NEED book 4! I am very curious what member that book will be about.....Goldie maybe? Army? The curiosity is too much!!!!

Kash by Victoria Ashley

My name is Kash Knight and I’m a fucking protector…

It runs deep in me, this need to dedicate myself to a woman and make her feel secure and cared for in every single way. Not just physically, but emotionally.

But when women see my hard body, all they want is for me to pleasure them and give them their ultimate fantasy. I need something more though, someone I can give my heart to.

And when my eyes land on the sassy blonde that seems too busy to put her needs first, I know without a doubt that it’s her I want to take out and show what it feels like to go out with a real man.

To be touched by a real man.

Eden Quinn…

I need a chance for her to see me as something other than just a male fucking stripper– a dirty temptation that knows how to make a whole room of women hot and wet.

Slowly, I begin to work my way in and when I find out she has a son that means more to her than life itself, I want so much more than I ever could’ve fucking imagined.

I want to take care of them and show Eden what it’s like to be safe and protected.

I’m making her mine and nothing is going to stand in my way… not even him.

Kash is a male stripper and a MMA fighter. But he's so much more. The only reason he's doing both is to make money to open his own gym. He's tired of all of the women grabbing him, so it intrigues him when a woman doesn't seem to care whether the strippers are at a party or not, and then she runs out when he starts dancing for her. Eden (OMG, I love her character) is a single mother and she's trying to be careful for her son.

I loved Eden's character. I've know single mothers who have to worry about the influences of people around their child and they put everyone before themselves. Kash's character shows that there are good men out there who care about others and want more. This was one of the best books I've read in this series.

I’m that girl.
No…I’m not.

They want their title.
I don’t.
They’re proud to belong.
I’m not.
They chose this life.
I didn’t…

My name is Winter Tews.
I am a thief. Liar. Traitor. Con.
The enemy is my lover.
I am his Cutslut.

And this is my story.

Damn right she’s not that girl.
They’re sugar and spice. She’s misery and sin.
And I want her.
Not to hold. Not to cherish. Not to love and honor and respect.
I want to break her. Hurt her. Destroy her. Just like she destroyed me.
She’s my brother’s sister.
My enemy’s Cutslut.
But soon…
She’ll be mine.

Winter Tews was only trying to escape the overbearing world of her brother, where she is thought of as property. But in doing so, she ended up becoming the cutslut for her brother's worst enemies, and she's still thought of as property. In trying to get free from both men, she stole from someone more dangerous, Jinx. Jinx is patient and controlling, and he's out for revenge. Winter has built up walls to protect herself and others. Jinx sees a spoiled brat at first, but the more he breaks her walls down, the more vulnerable innocence he sees in her.

I really enjoyed this book, but it left me wanting to know more about her brother, Pierce, and I felt it needed more at the end. Kim Jones did a freaking awesome job on this book and I was hooked from the very first page.
