Narrated by J.D. Hart
Megan Palmer works in a bookstore and finds her passion in life through reading steamy romance novels. Her brief affair with a man she later found out was married has left her damaged, until she meets the handsome SEAL, who stands ready to open her world and give her things she’s only dreamed.
On a skiing trip, Rory suffers a possible career-ending injury and also comes face to face with a past he never knew of, and a family who had abandoned him. His relationship with Megan is tested to the breaking point as Rory wades through the dark waters of recovery and whether or not he can live without the life he loves. A home-grown terrorist cell forces his hand and he discovers his true purpose.
*This is a double review. I will be reviewing the book along with the narrator.*
This is the first book that I have read that is about military romance. I loved it. This book has it all. It has a bad guy, HOT guy, Sexy lady, a story line, and a whole lot of love! I really enjoyed Rory’s character. He is strong willed, sexy and a fighter. Megan is also a great female character, she is strong, and has real attitude! I found the story to have some really interesting twists. I thought it was interesting that the terrorist group came to the U.S and wanted revenge here. Although Seal My Home is the 9th in the series, I wasn’t lost or confused. I will definitely be reading the other books in the series. I rate this book a 5!
J.D. Hart is a great narrator. While listening to the book I had no problems distinguishing any of the characters. This man has such a sexy voice when it calls for it. His foreign accents were spot on also. I found it interesting that when a phone conversation was happening during the story; he made it sound like he was talking on the phone. I rate J.D a 5 on his narrating!
