I’m not really sure if I have a writing process, but one thing I know is I HAVE TO write in order. I can’t skip ahead in the book. Or work on more than WIP at a time. Sure, I can jump onto the next WIP while one book is with the editor, but that’s about it. I hear that authors write with outlines. I tried that once, didn’t work all that well for me. I write as it comes to me. I know where I want my story to begin and where to end, everything in between comes as I am writing. Am I strange?
Just as your books inspire authors, what authors have inspired you to write?
The authors that have inspired me most throughout my life are J.K. Rowling (huge Harry Potter nerd, if you don’t like HP, we can’t be friends), Cecelia Ahern, Anna McPartlin, Kelly Elliott and Kristin Mayer. I devour every book they write.
How important are names to you in your books? Do you choose the names based on liking the way it sounds or the meaning? Do you have any name choosing resources you recommend?
Fun Fact: I suck at picking out names. Seriously, I do. But yeah I base names on whether they fit my characters or not. Or if I have the name first I make my character fit around the name.
What writing advice do you have for other aspiring authors?
Don’t give up. Don’t let bad reviews get you down. Write what you feel is right for you. There will always be a Debbie Downer. But you’re awesome. Always remember that.
What's your favorite love story? (movie or book)
P.S. I love you. Hands down. I have watched and read it a million times and still cry like a little baby every time.
What’s your favorite line from any movie?
If I wasn't afraid I would...
Someday, I want to...
jump out of a plane.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
No, but I do believe you’re able to tell if you have a stronger connection with a person when you first meet. Love grows over time.
If you could live anywhere on this planet, and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live? Tell the group about your choice.
I would live on a deserted island with my family and friends. I’m not a very social person (I try though) so this would be heaven to me.
If you could go to the past or future, where would you stay and why?
Honestly, I’d stay in the here and now. If I HAD to choose I’d go with the future because I would want to see if they finally have flying cars. I mean, that would be the coolest thing ever, right?
Tea or coffee?
Tell us something you hate doing. Why?
Say goodbye. Part of my family lives in Germany and the other part in the states. So I have to say “See you later” more times than I care.
What's your pet peeve?
I’m by all means not a grammar nazi, but one thing that always gets me is people not knowing the difference between you’re/your, they’re/there/their and then/than. I don’t know why but it kind of annoys me. Usually I get over it quickly.
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a lawyer.
What was your favorite decade? (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc.)
90’s and 2000’s. That’s the decade I grew up in. Fun times.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Luke Bryan. Because Luke Bryan. That’s why ;)
What is your favorite dessert?
What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Share one funniest, one silliest and one wackiest status you have put up on a social networking site.
“Maybe my Prince Charming got stuck in a condom.”
If you can be a Disney character, who would you be and why?
Can I be all of them? I <3 Disney!
What is your favorite quote?
“Go confidently in the directions of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
What do you miss most about childhood?
Not having to worry about anything. Oh and naps. What I would give to have daily naps back.

Sing in the rain or dance in the streets?
Do you have nicknames?
Plenty. But I’m not telling.
