IF I CAN DREAM is my next HELL YEAH! book. These books are standalones with connected characters. I’ve lost count, this is either #17 or #18 in that series. I have written over 40 books total, so don’t hold it against me if I get confused. (Think of the sex scenes I’ve written….)
The hero is one of the McCoy cousins and his love interest is his ex-wife.
The moment Tennessee McCoy lays eyes on Molly Reyes sitting astride a horse in the desert sun, love hits him like a bolt of lightning from out of the blue. She is his soulmate, his other half. They speak the same language, they want the same things. Their attraction is complete, the passion they share nearly consumes them. Knowing she is meant to be his, Ten can’t wait to make her his bride. The future seems bright until happiness slips through their fingers like grains of sand.
When all seems hopeless, sometimes all we have left is our dreams. Ten can only believe what his eyes can see, what his ears can hear. Molly can’t seem to find the words to make him understand that she would rather lose her soul than betray him. Now both Tennessee and Molly must learn to place their faith in one another, to hold fast to love and trust their hearts.
Their journey back to love will be one you’ll never forget.
IF I CAN DREAM is Tennessee and Molly McCoy’s story. When you first met Ten, he and Molly were estranged. He did not see fit to share why with us at that time. Some things are just too painful to talk about. But in order for you, the reader, to fully understand and learn to love them as I do, we must go back to the beginning. IF I CAN DREAM will take us to the day Tennessee and Molly met and we will relive with them the miracle of their love, the ecstasy of their passion and what happened to break them up. All of these things took place during the aftermath of Aron’s rescue and Philip’s murder trial. Those things will not be our focus. IF I CAN DREAM will carry you through the emotional journey that brings them back together to the present time and allows you to witness when two people who are destined for one another are given a second chance at love.
What does your writing process look like?
My writing process is horizontal. I write from my recliner. This is my job, so I write off and on from dusk till dark as the mood strikes me. When I need a walk or want to cook, I get up and do it. If I want to go shopping or out to eat or to a movie, I take a break and do that. Still, with all of my relaxing, I manage to write a full-length book every month to six weeks. I write on a computer, but I use a notebook to make notes. I plot and outline, that way I don’t usually have to do a rewrite. My characters stay with me, I can’t seem to turn them loose, so I don’t. I write series with standalone love stories, but connected characters who show up in book after book.
If you could be a character in any novel you've ever read, who would you be and why?
I know it’s a gender switch, but the man is amazing. I’d love to be Dirk Pitt, in the Clive Cussler novels and travel the world in search of treasure. The movie SAHARA with Matthew (All right, all right, all right) is from one of the books. He actually lives close to me, that’s why I spend a lot of time on my balcony – ha!
If you could live one month on TV, like it was your real life, which show would like to live on?
I would love to be on the new TV show PROOF where the doctors are working to prove or disprove that we survive death in one way or another. As an avid believer in the supernatural and a ghost-hunter, I think it would be a blast. Of course, I sure wouldn’t mind serving UNDER the Captain of the Nathan James on The Last Ship – that Eric Dane is sexy as hell.
You were just given a yacht. What would you name it?
I would be sailing on My Dirty Imagination.
Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours.
Good grief, I don’t know if I have any. I’m so normal. Ha! I drink two cups of coffee a day or I get sick. I love cheese but only separate, not on my hamburger, etc. I only eat plain cake or muffins with coffee, no icing. I never go barefoot, but I never wear hose or socks even in the coldest of weather, makes me feel like I’m smothering. I never hang my foot off the bed, just in case there’s something under it. I’m fairly private, my BFFs are my dogs. I reward myself when I finish a book by reading one I’ve saved back from my favorite authors. I travel to my book settings and absorb the atmosphere. I don’t do doctors, I self-medicate, haha, its more fun. I ghosthunt for fun!
What's your favorite material object that you already own?
I’m a car nut. I’ve owned an S-type jag, a GSF sport Lexus and now I own a Beamer – so the answer is my car – a BMW 750LI. I like to drive fast and look good while I’m going down the road.
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
Actually, it’s in the works. A dramatized but true account of my crazy life called HYPOCRITES AND HEATHENS. This work will tell about my early life as a ‘good girl’, my decision to write erotic romance, the aftermath and what I did to hide behind a persona and other members of my family to protect myself from judgmental people and a stalker. To this day, most of my closest friends on FB and real life don’t even know the real Sable Hunter. Some think they do, and boy will they be surprised. This book will be the next Peyton Place, that’s a reference to a book released about a small town that told all their secrets – it even became a TV show. I’m looking forward to telling all. I may not release HH till I know I’m about to die, but since I believe in ghosts, I’ll come back and enjoy the explosion.
What's your favorite Christmas memory?
Waiting up for Santa Claus. We always did our celebrating on Christmas Eve. By Christmas Day I was through with the holiday and ready to ride horses. But my folks made it magical. We lived in the country and I would hear reindeer on the roof and jingle bells, find presents hidden everywhere. The Christmas magic is what I remember best. I’m a Bah Humbug! now. I buy lots of presents for my family, but it’s a chore.
What cartoon character best represents your personal philosophy?

What is your favorite quote?
