I have been known to get out of the shower, type notes on my ipad and then get back in to finish.

If you could be a character in any novel you've ever read, who would you be and why?
I would love to be Cora in Rome by Jay Crownover. She is so opposite who I am. I would love to be that strong-willed, self-assured, and confident in appearance as well as it would be so opposite me to have tattoos, piercings, and well, Rome.
What do you consider to be your best accomplishment?
Motherhood. Most difficult, but rewarding job ever.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Still living in Chicago, still teaching, hopefully on a bestseller list and on bookshelves.
What was your first job?
I worked in a small shop that custom made lotions and oils. You could pick a scent and we would add it to the lotion, oil, body wash of your choice. It was a great first job and you find hints of that experience in Fragrance Free.

Yes, he does. Unfortunately, I have not met him, but I do believe there are very ideal men out there.

I hate to repeat myself. I hate it.

Definitely drama – Amanda Seifert would play me, although when I was younger I had darker hair, so I don’t know. Name – Things My Mother Doesn’t Know.

I’ve thought about this a lot lately, and I would tattoo under my left breast – no one would see it, but I would get the tattoo that Jacob Vincent has – Change your Destiny.

Grocery shopping. No, wait cooking. Hmmm…both have to do with food, so maybe that’s it.

A mother. A teacher. A writer. I’ve done it all.

I would have been the BEST teenie bopper.
What takes you out of your comfort zone?

Amazed, and small. The universe is so large, and I am only a speck in it.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Currently, David Byers or Cole Monahan (although he’s way too young for me). I don’t know why…I’ll be superficial and say looks. Oh, or Gerard Butler, the accent.
If you could switch bodies with a certain celebrity, who would it be and why?
Jennifer Anisten – would love to be forty something and thin and sexy.
What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Belle. Hello, beasty love interest, sexual tension, and given a library. Awesome.
Did you ever go against a fashion rage? Why?
Yes, I never wore long underwear with boots and a mini-skirt. I thought it was a ridiculous look in the 1980s.
Can you comfortably eat in a restaurant by yourself?
Go to movie? Absolutely.
What one thing (modern convenience) could you not live without?
Television. I hardly watch it.

Sing in the rain while dancing in the streets.

Yes, Sandra Dee. DB, Dunny Bear – all at work.
Have you ever gone cow-tipping?
No, however, I have pulled into my driveway as a teenager and had a cow blocking the drive.
Do you do dance crazy when no one is looking?
At the beach would you rather play in the sand, or play in the water? Sand, but I’m more of a sedentary beach goer – like laying in the sun.
